Margaret Madeline Neumann, 90, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Nov. 27, 2005, in Larimore,
N.D.
She was born Sept. 6, 1915, the daughter of Nicholas and Alvina (Neels) Botz. After moving with her family to Fergus Falls she attended District 80 school. As a youth she enjoyed leading Fergus Falls parades on her retired white circus horse, Silver. She was a former choir member of First United Church of Christ.
She married Werner F. Neumann on June 22, 1937, in Milbank, S.D. In 1942 they moved to Big Spring, Texas. She enjoyed raising two daughters, sewing, crocheting, cooking, canning, and gardening. When that was done she enjoyed church activities and card games with family and friends.
In 1950 she and her husband started farming in Buse Township near Fergus Falls. They retired in 1979.
From 1995 to 2004 they resided along Douglas Avenue in Fergus Falls. After Werner's death she resided in Grand Forks near her daughter Betty and family.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce (Chester) Wright, Edmonds, Wash., and Betty (Duane) Williams, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Victor and Eric Wright of Washington and Darren, Bethany, and Derek Williams of North Dakota, great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Irene, and Margaret Wright of Washington; and many extended family cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John.
