Catherine Aldis, Native of County, Dies in Her Home

Mrs. Catherine Fisher Aldis, 76 years old, a native of DeKalb county and for years a widely known Cortland resident, died at her home in that village at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Advancing age had undermined her health, and she has not been in good health for some time.
She was born in Pierce township, January 20, 1862, and lived her entire life in DeKalb county. She was married to James Aldis on Jan. 20, 1880. Three daughters survive, her son, John Aldis having died three weeks ago. The daughters are: Mrs. Charles Welsh and Mrs. Dorsa Burbank of Cortland and Mrs. Roy Holland of Sycamore.
Mrs. Aldis was affiliated with the Cortland Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services will be held from her residence at 1:30 o'clock and from the Cortland Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock on Sunday.
