B. Dairrell Cook, 43, of 648 Annette Avenue., died today at The Medical Center after a long illness. He was born September 1, 1919 in Columbus. He was a son of the late Leon and Lilla Smith Kernes.
A lifelong resident of Columbus, he was the editor of the Textile Gazette and was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Cook, Columbus; two sons, Jack Averett and James Stephen Cook, Columbus; one aunt, Mrs. L. C. Brock, Atlanta and several cousins.

Funeral services for B. Dairrell Cook, 43, 648 Annette Ave., will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Striffler-Hamby Chapel, with Rev. Joel W. Smity, pastor of Linwood Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: L. B. Turner, Jack Stokes, Jimmy Coleman, Albert Coleman, H. E. Densmore, George King. Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Cook, Columbus; two sons, Jack Averett and James Stephen Cook, both of Columbus; an aunt, Mrs. L. C. Brock, Atlanta, and several cousins.
Byrtice Dairrell Cook is interred at this cemetery in an unmarked grave. Records at the cemetery office show Dairrell B. Cook was interred in the Garden of Christus on March 14, 1963.
