W. A. Bambrough Succumbs Here Sunday Evening
William A. Bambrough, 73, of 735 North 14th street, died Sunday evening at the Mercy hospital after several days illness.
He was born Jan. 5, 1894 in Elwood, the son of Jonas and Isabelle Gullin Bambrough. He was twice married, first to Audrey Cecil Hanchier, who died in 1940. He later married Izora Cox, who survives him.
He is a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church and was a retired employee of Emka Corp.
Survivors include the widow; and the following children, Adrian of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. William Wolfe of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. William Matthews of Indianapolis, Dan of Elwood, William Jr. of Elwood and Brenda of Elwood; three step childre, Richard Cox of Elwood and Mrs. James Wales of Lebanon; a sister, Mrs. Everett Libler of DeLand, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Copher and Fesler funeral home where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Copher and Fesler home. Rev. Luther Mayhugh of Columbus will officiate. Burial will be made in the Elwood City cemetery.
