1875: As a child of about 3 year old he moved with his family to the Maysville, MO area, and seems to have resided in that area the rest of his life.
July 14, 1900: He was united in marriage to Ada Ione Ridgeway. To this union were born two children; Xantha Lee (1903) and Daniel Dudley (1909).
October 28, 1928: Ada died as the result of an automobile accident.
March 25, 1942: Elmer married Fannie Mary Johnson. She died in 1950.
Elmer was a printer by trade, and owned the Buckner Record newspaper.
