George Anthony, who lived in Madison township, St. Joseph county, died Monday morning on his 82nd birthday anniversary, following a 12 weeks' illness. Mr. Anthony was brought to St. Joseph county at the age of 18 months by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Anthony, from Ashland, Ohio. He lived for 80 years on the farm where he died. In 1859 he married Eliza Ham, who survives him. These are six children, Mrs. Nettie Frederick, Chas Anthony and Mrs. J. O. Loucks, all of Wakarusa; Mrs. William Ervin and Mrs. Cleam Godshalk, both of Wyatt and Mrs. Daniel Getz of South West; a sister, Mrs. Susan Hinkle of Ashland, Ohio, two brothers, Philip Anthony of Ashland and John Anthony of Ashland and John Anthony of Wyatt, 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Mr. Anthony was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday, meeting at the home at 9:30. Funeral service at Olive church at 10 o'clock. Rev. Christian Metzler, officiating.

There are some typos in the obituary, but I left all spelling/typing mistakes. The marriage date between George and Louisa is a full ten years difference, along with her name being different, but the children are all the same.
