H. Glenn Allyn was the son of George Washington Allyn and Sarah Cummins Allyn.

OBIT:

Funeral services will be at 1 pm tomorrow at Lewis Chapel for Glenn H. Allyn, owner and operator of the Allyn Plumbing Company, Gig Harbor.

Mr. Allyn, is past commander of the Vaughn American Legion post and was a member of the Bremerton post 149 at the time of his death yesterday. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters union, local 631.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, and son Donald, of the family home; another son Kenneth of Bremerton; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Kincaid of Kennewick; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Marion Brown will officiate at services assisted by American Legion post 149. Burial will be in Vaughn Cemetery.

Glenn H. Allyn, Star Rt., Gig Harbor, whom followers of the Western Washington Fair will remember for the pump display booth he operated there, died Monday, five days after his 68th birthday.

Born at Madison Lake, Minn., he came to Gig Harbor in 1941 and opened a plumbing, heating and pump installation business. He was a graduate of Mankato Commercial College Mankato, Minn., and operated a garage there. He built his own racing car and drove it to the Minneapolis Speedway in the early days of the sport.

He was a past commander of the Vaughn American Legion Post and a member of Bremerton Post No. 149.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; a daughter, Mrs. Gates Kincaid of Kennewick; two sons, Kenneth of Bremerton and Donald of Gig Harbor; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held yesterday in Bremerton. Honorary pallbearers were Emil Gaetana, Archie Lindsev, Carl Smith, Fred Stock, F. R. Titcomb and A. E. Visell.
