Klaus, Kurt W. Kurt W. Klaus, age 60 of Yorkville, IL passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 3, 2011 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born May 17, 1951 in Aurora, IL the son of Theodore and Marjorie (Dayton) Klaus. Kurt was united in marriage May 23, 1992 in Yorkville, IL to Mary Jo Sambrookes and they spent the next 19 happy years together. Mr. Klaus was employed as a truck driver by Ryder Logistics in Bolingbrook, IL. He was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. Kurt enjoyed playing the guitar, reading, Civil War history, gardening, fishing and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Klaus of Yorkville, IL; his children, Nicole (Doug) Miller of Charleston, IL, Bryan (Renee Lorenzo) Olden of Yorkville, IL, Zachary (Jennifer) Rickerl of Plano, IL, Matthew (Sarah Nielsen) Klaus of Plano, IL and Nathan Klaus of Moline, IL; his eight grandchildren; his siblings, Warren Klaus of Garland, TX, Linda (Otto) Hektor of Colleyville, TX, Carol (Jim) Murray of Yutan, NE, Jean Luther of Aurora, IL and Glenda (Rudy) Beringer of Yorkville, IL; and his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Dolores Sambrookes of Sugar Grove, IL; as well as, several nieces and nephews. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Marjorie Klaus, his step-mother, Lea Klaus, his sister, Judy Klaus and his step-son, Jonathan Rickerl. Funeral Services will be held, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Erik Gauss officiating.
