NORTHVILLE --Services for Earl Hain, 98
Northville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday,
May 19, at the Northville Methodist
Church with the Rev. Dana Houck
officiating.
Burial will be in the Northville
Cemetery. The Coleman-Thelen Funeral
Chapel of Redfield is in charge of
arrangements.
The Northville Masonic Lodge will also
conduct a service for Mr. Hain.
He died Monday May 17, at his home in
Northville

Earl Hain was born Aug. 26, 1883,
at Moscow, Iowa. He married Minnie
Luke in 1906 and in 1909 the couple
moved to the Cresbard area. She died
in 1910 and he then married Vera
Townsend Jan. 2, 1919, at Redfield.
He had lived in Northville since that
time. He was a carpenter until his
retirement at age 87. He was a member
of the Masonic Lodge at Northville for
more than 70 years and was one of the
oldest Masons in South Dakota. He was
also a former volunteer fireman.
Survivors include his widow; three
daughters, Mrs. Claire (Blanche)
Serfling, Northville; Mrs. Warren
(Evelyn) Eastman, Buffalo, N.Y.;
and Mrs. Leon (Earlene) Feifer, Fort
Collins, Colo.; one sister, Mrs.
Lloyd (Grace) Dickinson, Muscatine,
Iowa; six grandchildren, 11 great-
grandchildren and four great-great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first
wife and one daughter.
