Mary Eleanor Davis Anderson was born February 19, 1921 in Leland, Utah to Earl H. and Eleanor Jane Larsen Davis. After a long and productive life, Mary traveled to the next life on September 13, 2011.

She was married to Keith P. Anderson November 12, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had three children; Phillip, Douglas and Brian, followed by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mary was always proud of her three sons.

She received her early education in the Leland and Spanish Fork schools, graduating from Spanish Fork High School in 1939. She graduated from LDS Business College, attended BYU for three years and attended many evening school classes. While her husband was at Cornell University she enrolled in classes there and also worked as a secretary for one of the Deans. She worked as a supervisor and expediter in the General Maintenance Department of Remington Arms during World War II.

She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many executive and teaching positions in the Primary, Relief Society and Young Women's organizations on both the Ward and Stake levels.

She loved music and sang in small groups such as The Singing Mothers and Ward and Stake choirs. She played the piano and guitar for her own enjoyment. Mary excelled as an artist and was a member of the Artists Section of the Women's Council of Provo, Utah. Her paintings received awards in several shows. She worked both in oils and pastels. She served as a Pink Lady for several years at Utah Valley Hospital and served with other volunteer groups. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world and lived in Spain for a year where her husband taught at The Universities of Valencia and Barcelona.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Blanch (Merrell) Nielson and Lorraine (Ronald) Davis, four brothers, Lester, Courtney, Welby and Bryce Davis. She is survived by two brothers, Alan (Marilyn) Davis and Clare (Pat) Davis, three sons, Phil (Lil) Anderson, Doug (Loretta) Anderson, Brian (Barbara) Anderson and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family sends a special thanks to First Choice Home Health Care and Hospice Services as well as The Charleston at Cedar Hills. For the past two years their services have been phenomenal.
