Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Benjamin and Dicie Allen Deal; her husband, Matthew Holland Allen; four brothers, James Cecil Deal, Solomon Deal, Herman B. Deal, and Horace Hulon Deal; four sisters, Euna Mae Fagan, Loree Deal, Zemmie Lee Baxter, and Martha Christine Halat; two nieces, Verona Deal Wilson, and Joy Deal Drapalik; and one nephew, Terry Lynn McKanna.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Dayton and Ann Allen, of Garfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Morgan Rushing, and Sherri and Herman Akins, all of Statesboro; two grandsons and their wives, Jared and Jahala Akins, and Kevin and Christie Allen; four granddaughters, Stephanie McBride, and her husband Tommy, Susan Nevil, and her husband Ricky, Jodie Akins, and Darlene Dailey; five great grandsons, Justin McBride, Lehman Nevil, Cade Allen, Grayson Akins, and Gavin Akins; three great-granddaughters, Jessica McBride, Grace Ann Nevil, and Riley Claire Nevil; two sisters, Elizabeth McKanna and Lillian Petty, both of Statesboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles Lavern and Christine Deal; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allen will be Sunday at 3:00p.m. at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Scott officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00p.m. at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Jared Akins, Kevin Allen, Tommy McBride, Ricky Nevil, Al McKanna, and Sammy Deal.
