David D. Adams, retired grocer, died Saturday in his home, 476 W. Oley St., Reading, following a lingering illness. He was 70. A native of Macungie, Lehigh county, he was a son of the late Joel and Maria (Folk) Adams. He was a member of the Reformed congregation of Longswamp Union church, and Tox-E-Lox tribe, Independent Order of Red Men, Alburtis. He leaves his wife, the former Katie Hilbert; two daughters, Elsie, wife of Wellington Brady, Reading, and Clara, at home; one son, David D., West Reading; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one step-brother, Frank Weaver, Emmaus. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon in Reading.
