Laverne Griffin, 78, died peacefully at her home Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. Graveside service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Belvedere Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Laverne was born Nov. 22, 1932 in Chilton, Texas to Roy Lee and Jewel Jones.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Westbrook and Barbara Brown; and brother Herschel Jones.
