Oldest child of Violet (Lettie) Jane (Masters) & Wilder Gardiner Aldrich. Born, raised & educated in Winnebago and Windom, MN. Taught rural school after 8th grade and attended local teachers courses. Further education is unknown. Moved to Glendale circa 1920 w/Mother, Lettie Jane Masters Aldrich, to teach school & in 1923 was teaching at the Cerritos Ave School. May died at home of a stroke folllowing major surgery for uterine fibroids. Her name is listed as May Creswell Aldrich in the family bible, but mother completed her death certificate as Mae. Which was real and which common useage is unknown. Impression is my Great-Aunt was unlucky in love AND cards.
