Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Idelle Amelia Brown Dozier and Ernest Lynn Dozier.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 70 years Louis Claude Albright and children: Dorothy Susanne Albright Furr and Peggie Lynne Albright Shore. Grandchildren: Stephen Randolph Furr and Virginia Lee Furr Herweh. Great Grandchildren: John Gabriel Herweh and Liberty Faith Herweh.

Dorothy graduated from County High School where she was in the National Honor Society. Graduated from Birmingham Baptist Hospital School of Nursing that is now part of Samford University's Ida Moffet School of Nursing.

Career highlights: Dorothy worked as a Registered Nurse in several different states and was for many years the Office Manger for an orthodontist in Falls Church, Virginia. After retiring, Dorothy and her husband returned to Tuscaloosa where they have lived since 1974. Since returning to Tuscaloosa, Dorothy and her husband have been members of Northport Methodist Church. Dorothy was an accomplished musician who played both the violin and piano. She was a member of a dance band and played for weddings and church services. Dorothy loved to sew and her grandaughter still has some of the beautiful dresses she made for her when she was a little girl. Dorothy was also an avid reader and crossword puzzles were her passion.
