He enlisted Feb-1862 Eufaula AL as a private in Oliver's Battery of Artillery. Widow filed for his pension in Barbour County.

Eufaula, February 2
Charles C. Baker was found in a dying condition this morning and passed away before a physician could reach him. He was an old and very estimable citizen of Eufaula. He had complained of a bad cold but was thought to be in good health otherwise. He was a veteran of the war and was 61 years old. He was widely known here and had resided in the area for fifty years. The funeral will be tomorrow.
