Calvin Don Long, 49, of Gentry, Arkansas, died September 9, 2011, at his home, surrounded by family.
Born February 21, 1962 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of Bennie Long and Frances Severn Long.
He was a lifelong resident of Gentry where he was a hay farmer. Calvin loved his children, family and NASCAR. He married Belinda Samuels on July 18, 1987 in Withrow Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Connie Long Saunders.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Belinda of the home; two daughters, Kristen Long and fiancé Michael Howard of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Brittany Long and fiancé Brad Ballinger of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Jonathon Long of Highfill, Arkansas, and Matthew Long of the home; his mother, Frances Severn Long of Gentry, Arkansas; one sister, Linda Heustis and husband J.B. of Westville, Oklahoma; one brother, David Long and wife Tish of Decatur, Arkansas; 11 nieces and nephews; three great nieces and nephews, in laws, Lavon and Barbara Samuels of Hindsville, Arkansas; and brother in law Steve Samuels of Hindsville, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2011, at Springtown Pentecostal Church, Springtown, Arkansas, with David Long officiating. Burial will follow at Springtown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Long, Matthew Long, Brad Ballinger, Gary Holland, Vernon Reams, Michael Howard, Steve Samuels, J.B. Heustis and Billy Saunders.
