Brenda Allen Covey, 65
of Pulaski, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Kroontje Health Care Center of Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg, VA, after a long illness with Alzheimer's.
She was preceded in death by her father Clarence E. Allen of Dublin
and husband, James K. Covey, of Pulaski.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving family,
her mother Imogene Allen of Wheatland Hills Radford,
a sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Charles Epperly of Radford,
a brother and sister-in-law Garry and Debbie Allen of Richmond,
along with two nephews John Epperly of Fredricksburg, Robbie Epperly of Coventry RI, and two nieces Amy Epperly of Radford and Kay Allen of Fairfax.
Brenda was born in Hillsville on May 5, 1945 and lived in Dublin and Pulaski most of her life. She is a graduate of New River Community College and worked for many years for Pulaski County Social Services. She was an avid VA Tech football fan and a lover of Elvis Presley music.
The family extends their gratitude to Brenda's caretakers at Warm Hearth.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the adjacent Allen/White Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Wed, June 9, at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Vaughn Guynn McGrady Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
