Jacob Edwin Gray, 71, died unexpectedly of coronary thrombosis Sunday at 6:15.A. M. at the Clinton County Infirmary.
The son of Wilson and Elizabeth Smith Gray, he was born in Ross County, November 11, 1880, and was married in 1904. He was a member of Humbolt Methodist Church. Mr. Gray was engaged in farming for many years.
In addition to his widow, Mrs. Ida Belle Summers Gray, he is survived by three sons, Owen C. of Jamestown, Darrell of Wilmington, and Jacob E. Gray Jr., of Connersville, Ind.; five daughters, Mrs. Floret Hixson, Mrs. Faith DeBoard and Mrs. Minnie Houston of Wilmington, Mrs. Lona Hixson of Blanchester, and Miss Helen Gray of Dayton; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Weese, Mrs. Laura Cherryholmes and Mrs. Minnie Cherryholmes, of Bainbridge; two brothers, Fred of Greenfield and Silas Gray of Columbus, and 28 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 P. M. at the Humbolt Methodist Church and interment, in charge of the Fisher Funeral Home, will be in Humbolt cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
