Harry R. Arcado passed away on June 19, 2003 at Kaiser Medical Center in Sacramento.

Born December 20, 1918 in Pittsburg, CA, a native of Pittsburg. Graduate of Pittsburg High School. He worked as a shipfitter for ten years at Mare Island in Vallejo. He also worked in the grocery industry.

A member of the Retail Clerks Union in Martinez; a U.S. Army WWII veteran of the 10th Mountain Division in Northern Italy in 1944-45. Received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Survived by his son, Salvatore Arcado; grandchildren, Teresa Herrlin, David Arcado, and Nicolette Arcado; sisters, Josephine Mercurio, Stella Buffo; and brother, Anthony Arcado. Preceded in death by wife, Teresa Rosalie Arcado; brothers, Sam Alis and Chris Arcado; sisters, Lena Aiello, Mary Russo, and Angelina Cardinale.

Visitation June 23, 2003 with a Vigil at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Mass June 24, 2003 at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette. Pittsburg Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
