Frankie Lee Armstrong was born on October 20, 1961 in Selmer, Tenn at McNairy Regional Hospital to Franklin Armstrong and Cora Lee (McDougal) Armstrong. He was the oldest of five children. He was a devoted Christian who accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at Cypress Creed First Baptist in Selmer.

Franklie Lee was a brave and passionate individual that loved his family and friends
unconditionally. He joined Army and served his country for 22 years. He retired as a Staff
Sergeant. Through his many years in the service he was awarded many medals and honorary badges including Army Commendation twice, Army Achievement Medal four times, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon w/numeral 2, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon three times, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge w/pistol bar and Expert Marksmanhip Qualification Badge w/automatic rifle bar.

Her is predeceased by his mother Cora Lee Armstrong and his wife Geraldine Love
Armstrong. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Franklin Armstrong; five siblings, Pattie Atkins and husband Maurice; Janet Armstrong and husband Mike, Sherry Armstrong, Jackie Lee Armstrong, Timmy Armstrong and wife Norma, all of Selmer, Tenn. He also leaves seven nieces, two nephews, three step children and a host of other relatives and friends. Services to be held at Ft Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
