Pioneer Citizen Dead
Henry Oller, a prominent man of Dry Point Township, died at his home, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. He has been an invalid for a year or more suffering from stomach trouble. He also had a paralytic stroke some time ago and has been confined to the house ever since. He was about 65 years old and had been a resident of the county almost all his life. He leaves a widow, one son and three daughters to mourn his taking off. The funeral was held at 3 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Cowden Cemetery.
Note: Henry J. Oller was 62 years, 1 month and 15 days of age at the time of his death according to his death certificate located in Shelbyville, Volume 3, page 147. He was born in 1841 in Delaware County, Ohio and came to Illinois when he was 3 years old (about 1844) and lived in IL for 59 years.
