Emma E. (Haun)(Whipple) Bannister died September 10, 1967 in Clovis, Fresno County, California.
Emma was born January 16, 1884 in Harrison county, Missouri to Elcania (Cain) and Millie Anna (Elder) Haun. The family traveled to Oklahoma Territory when she was just a youngster. settling in the Waltham township, Kay County, Oklahoma Territory.
On January 21, 1902, she was united in marriage to Steven Whipple, in Watonga, Blaine County, Oklahoma. In 1910, they moved to Maple, Canadian County, Oklahoma. They then settled in El Reno, where they raised four sons; Ira Olen, Ivan Marvin, Raymond C. and Harry A. Whipple. In 1934, Emma and Steven parted ways. On August 7, 1937, she married Albert Wesley Bannister in Watonga, Blaine county, Oklahoma.
Albert and Emma moved to California where they continued to reside. Albert died and was buried in the El Reno cemetery. Emma continued to live in the Clovis, California area until her remaining days.
