George W. Arbegust died at 10:20 o'clock Thursday night at the family residence, 606 South Third street, from a complication of heart and stomach trouble. He was born in Hamilton County, Ohio, on August 28, 1842, but the greater part of his life was spent in Lauramie Township near Clark's Hill, where he was engaged in farming for years. He was a Democrat in politics but served as assessor of Lauramie township for eighteen years. The people had implicit confidence in him, and he was held in high regard. He leaves a widow and the following children: Mrs. Susan Christian, of this city; Mrs. Mary Monroe, of Indianapolis; Garrett S. Arbegust, of Oklahoma; Benjamin W., George W. and William Arbegust of this city. The funeral will be conducted from the residence this morning at 8:30 o'clock. Rev. A. W. Conner will officiate and the interment will be made in the Union cemetery. (The funeral of George W. Arbegust was conducted from the family residence on Saturday morning. Rev A W. Conner officiated and the interment was made in the Union cemetery near Clark's Hill.)
