Herman H. Allen was born March 4, 1938, at Walthill, Nebraska to J. Waine and Agnes (Hineline) Allen.
He married Carol Nielsen, and they were blessed with at least three children.
He worked for the city of Blair, Nebraska for more than 30 years before retiring.
After retirement, his friends continued to keep him busy with other jobs. All of his free time was spent fishing on the river and spending time in the Niobrara, Nebraska state park and area. Lately, his entertainment was cruising uptown on his scooter for a drink and scratch tickets.
Herman H. Allen, 73, of Blair, died suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Amy Allen and significant other, Jim Beck, of Norfolk, NE; Abby Allen of Kennard, NE; Ann Allen and significant other, Chris Schumacher, also of Kennard; grandson, Andrew; brother, Richard Hineline; aunt, Ethel Hineline, nieces, nephews and cousins.
