Dolores was born in Tucson, Arizona, a descendant of Arizona pioneers. As a child she grew up on her grandfather's ranch at Tres Alamos near Tombstone along the San Pedro river.
Dolores came to Los Angeles as a teen, where she was spotted by Hollywood agents, who because of her beauty offered her a contract as a starlet in movies.
At the time, Dolores was engaged to Anthony Dunbar and chose to be married instead. They had a lovely daughter, Dolores Diana, who tragically died at the age of five following an operation to remove a tumor on her little arm.
Dolores and Tony were devastated by the loss of their daughter, however the pain of their loss was eased by the birth of two sons a few years later, first Anthony and then Gary making their family complete.
Dolores was very hard working, an ambitous woman who obtained her beauticians license and opened her own beauty salon called "DeLeurs" in Los Angeles. She later sold her salon in the late 1950's and worked for a book bindery until her retirement.
Dolores is survived by her sons Anthony and Gary, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.
