Jens J. Petersen was born May 20, 1909, at Waterloo, Ia., son of P.C. and Ellmine Petersen. With them he came to the Blair vicinity in 1915. He was graduated from Blair high school, and in 1935 received his engineering degree from the University of Nebraska.

Mr. Petersen and Elvera Knofler were married Nov. 16, 1935. Since that time they have made their home in Omaha, except for three years and fourth months Mr. Petersen spent in the Armed Forces as a radar operator. He was overseas all but a year of that time.

Surviving Mr. Petersen are his wife, Elvera; two children, Norman, 10, and Barbara, 6; his mother, Mrs. P. C. Petersen; and two sisters, Mrs. Elsa Swartz of Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Nelsine McAllister of Sonora, Calif.
