Alford died yesterday in his home after suffering a heart attack.
He was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the San Joaquin Memorial Dads Club and of Our Lady of Victory Church. He had worked for many years as a truck driver.
Alford is survived by his widow, Valerie and four daughters, Yvonne, Christine, Valerie and Melody and his mother, Mrs. Ida Nichols, all of Fresno, CA; two brothers: Cecil of Fresno and Willis of Los Angeles and three sisters; Mrs. Mary Lou Wenzel of Clovis, Mrs. Doris Mansfield and Mabel Alford, both of Fresno.
A requiem mass will be held Friday at 9 AM in the church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The Lisle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
