Major League Baseball player. Star catcher for the Cleveland Indians for 13 seasons, hitting over .300 three times. The Indians won the 1920 World Series with O'Neill behind the plate. He also played for the Red Sox, Yankees, and Browns during his 17 year career. After his playing days were over he was a respected manager with the Indians from 1935-1937, the Detroit Tigers 1943-1948, and with the Philadelphia Phillies 1952-1954. In 1944, he managed the Detroit Tigers to a World Series championship. His managerial record was 1039 wins and 819 loses.
