This Robert Lafayette (comes from daughter's DC) Aldridge was the son of Robert and Nancy Aldridge and was born in what was then Floyd Co., Ky. After his father died, his mother Nancy along with her children moved to Lawrence Co., Ohio. On October 7, 1847 Robert married Catherine Gillen, daughter of Presley Gillen/Gilliland and Agnes Duduit. Robert and Catherine had at least nine children together. Catherine died July 11, 1878 and just a couple years later on October 19, 1880, Robert married Eliza (Delawder) Mignor, who had previously been married and had children with John Mignor. As far as I can tell, Robert and Eliza only had two children together, Joseph and Gracie. The 1900 census listed him as born May 1818.
