Wilma was born in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Her father was the Station Agent for the Santa Fe Railroad in Mexico. She went back and forth from Mexico to Wauconda over the years when her mother inherited and worked the Dairy Farm called Farnslea Farm. Wilma graduated from the University of Illinois and married Earl Allor who was the love of her life. Earl died suddenly and quite young. Wilma married Harry Sonneland, but this marriage was not a success and ended in divorce. She retook the name of Allor. She was a lifetime member of the American Red Cross and spent many years in Germany and Japan with the Red Cross. In her youth she had traveled with her Mother Jennie and her brother Wright. Jennie gave lectures on Mexico and Wright and Wilma danced folk dances of Mexico with elaborate costumes. Wilma had a lovely singing voice and accompanied herself on the piano quite well. She was quite skilled in her career with the Red Cross as an entertainment director and could give a fabulous party. When she died she was buried in Wauconda cemetery but the location of the grave was not recorded. Her three nephews, Peter, Craig and Geoffrey Farnsworth had a memorial made for her that is a cenotaph in the Wauconda Cemetery in her honor. The cenotaph is located between the graves of her father and her mother.
