Tim was one of four children in a happy boisterous family that liked to laugh and play practical jokes on themselves or their friends. Tim was a natural athlete, performed well in school and was active in after-school activities and in the Episcopal Church. In his senior year he was voted the "most cooperative" member of the class. He loved tennis, basketball, lifeguarding at Sunset Pool, and juggling. His life was ended all too soon by testicular cancer. During several years of knowing that he had cancer, he and his parents kept it a secret from all, including his siblings. Even knowing his destiny, he continued to swim for the Miami University Swim Team in Oxford Ohio. Simultaneously he had a scholarship in mathematics. He never complained, and at age 21 he died with exceptional grace.
