She was born April 10, 1924, in West Frankfort, the daughter of Monroe and Vessie (Green) Culbertson. She married Theron E. Arnold on Feb. 19, 1944, in Santa Ana, Calif., and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Arnold was a member of First Baptist Church in Mount Carmel, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Red Hat Society. She was a retired certified nursing assistant at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab.
Survivors include four children, Theron Edward Arnold and wife, Bobbie, of Benton, Larry Arnold and wife, Lois, of Mount Carmel, Martin Arnold and wife, Carol, of Sumner, and Timothy Arnold of Sacramento, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theron Arnold; and sister, Hilda Culbertson.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, in Short Funeral Home in Mount Carmel. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Attila. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at the funeral home.
