Clement H. Allwein, 74, died early this morning at the Alpine Nursing Home, Hershey. He had been in poor health for some time.
A son of the late Francis and Amanda Beamesderfer Allwein, he resided at 1029 S. Lincoln Ave., previous to his residence at the nursing home.
He was a retired railway express clerk and a member of the following organizations: St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, of which he was a past president, the Knights of Columbus and the Railway Brotherhood.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Bright Allwein, and these children: William E., Lebanon; Jeannette, wife of Robert Tribley, Greenville, Pa.; Marjorie, wife of Henry Falk, Myerstown, and Mary, wife of James Calhoun, Lebanon. Six brothers, Carroll, Wayne, Bernard, Thomas, Mark and Frederick, all of Lebanon, and three sisters, Catherine, wife of Frank Cincel; Josephine, wife of Francis Bunch, and Jeannette, wife of Donald Keefer, all of Lebanon. Twenty-two grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services for Clement H. Allwein, husband of Grace Bright Allwein, 1029 S. Lincoln Ave., were held this morning in Thompson's Funeral Home, 126 S. Ninth St.
A concelebrated Mass of Requiem followed in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Monsignor Damian E. McGovern of Harrisburg and the Rev. Lawrence C. Gross, pastor, officiating.
Pallbearers were Clement, Jacob and Thomas Falk, Michael and James Calhoun and Daniel Jeffries.
Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
