Avon Babcock, 71, Dies; Ill Two Months
Avon Babcock, 71, who had been ill for several months with heart trouble and arthritis, died at about midnight last night at his home at Keeler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Keeler Methodist church, with Rev. Albert Mandigo officiating. Burial will be in Keeler cemetery.
Babcock had lived at Keeler since 1918. He is survived by one son, John, of Keeler; two grandchildren; a brother, Roscoe Babcock, of Coloma, and a sister, Mrs. Viola Barnard, of Kalamazoo. His wife, Nina, died in 1943.
Friends may call at the Calvin chapel until 1 p.m. Sunday.
