Rose Barbara Gilles, 82, of 1317 Independence Ave. died Monday [September 29, 1975] at her home. She was born in Fulda, IN and was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and the Legion of Sacred Heart. Her husband, Frank Gilles, died in 1955. Survivors include 2 sons, James Gilles of Daviess County and Paul Gilles of Owensboro; 4 daughters, Catherine Catanzaro of Destrehan, LA, Alberta Thompson of Owensboro, Rose Carrico of Knottsville, and Mary Ellen Rhinerson of Daviess County; 37 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen Cathedral. Burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation after 4:30 p.m. today at Haley-McGinnis and Owensboro Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday.
