SACO -- James L. Sullivan Jr., 61, a resident of Stockman Avenue, passed away Monday morning on Sept. 25, 2006, at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 28, 1945, in Portland, a son of James L. Sr. and Eleanor M. Coyne Sullivan.

He was educated from Old Orchard Beach High School.
James served his country in the United States Army. Earlier, he traveled the Maine State Fair Circuit with Rick and Marion's Famous Fried Clams. Mr. Sullivan was the manager of the Sandbar in Old Orchard Beach for 10 years. He also was co-owner of Kerrymen Pub in Saco, until retirement in 1985.

He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed dog and horse racing. He loved his cats and dogs. James was known for keeping in touch with all his family and friends by telephone.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Thomas.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lucy Dion Sullivan of Saco; one brother, Stephen E. Sullivan of Old Orchard Beach; four sisters, Marion E. Ahearn of Dayton, Shirley A. Thayer of North Waterboro, Elaine C. Morgan of Dayton, and Sandra E. Bergeron of Biddeford; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday from Cote Funeral Home, corner of Beach and James St., Saco. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
