The crash occurred around 7 p.m. on 144th Street and Cameron Road, just east of Kearney, Mo., and north of Clay County's Midwest National Air Center. The helicopter had flown from the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mo. to Bethany to pick up the patient.
