Word was received this week by his parents, Mr and Mrs Henry Light of Marie, that their son Eury Light had died of injuries sustained in battle in France.
The message to the parents was brief, and contained no details, other than the young man died from wounds, received in action. His death occurred several days ago.
Mr Light enlisted last March and went to camp with a number of other boys from Summers county. Later he went to France and it is supposed that he was one of the recent battles and that he was fatally wounded.
He was about 21 years of age and in addition to his father and mother, leaves one sister and three brothers.
H worked in Bellepoint with his father, putting in the foundation for the Judge Miller residence and was known to a number of the young people of this city. He was a man of much promise and the news of his death comes to his parents and other relatives and friends as a sad message.
