Word reached this city last Saturday afternoon that Mrs. Henrietta, wife of C. Edgar Nusbaum, of the firm Nusbaum and Jordan of this city, had passed away at Saranac Lake, N.Y., from an attack of pneumonia. Mrs. Nusbaum had gone there for her health. When she was taken with pneumonia, Mr. Nusbaum was sent for and reached her bedside before she died.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred T. and Eliza Darby Shreeve, of this city. She has a number of relatives and friends in this city, who mourn her early death. She was a genial and lovable woman and was held in high esteem in this community and in New Windsor where she has resided since her marriage. Her remains were brought to New Windsor on Sunday afternoon and on Wednesday morning her funeral was held there, conducted by Rev. J.T. Marsh of the M.E. Church, Rev. L. Emory Bennett, of Westminster and Rev. Dr. James Fraser, of New Windsor, after which the remains were brought to Westminster and interred in the cemetery in the presence of a number of relatives and friends of this city. Rev. L. Emory Bennett conducted the services at the grave.
A quartet from Centenary M.E. Church choir, Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Kimmey, Miss Adda Manahan and Mr. C. Albert Mitten sang" O Love That Will Not Let Me Go."
She is survived by her husband and two sons, Masters Alfred and Charles Nusbaum. She was 32 years of her age. The flowers were many and beautiful from relatives and friends.
The pallbearers were: Messrs. I. Scott Jordan, T. William Mather, Jr., Maurice Haines, J. Walter Getty, Dr. Edward Myers and H. D. Phillips.
Harvey Bankard & Son, funeral directors.
