Per Swedish Church records, Alma emigrated to "Lindstrom" from Sturfors, Ostergotlands on May 6, 1896 listed as a maid. She married Ludwig in November 1898 with their first born, Carrie, arriving on Oct 29, 1899. It is believed that Alma met Ludwig in MN and did not emigrate to the US planning to marry him.
