Services for Allard L. Bartling, 75 of Fremont who died August 18, 1991 at Fremont will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Rodney Meske of Immanuel Lutheran church and Rev. Donald Levenhagen of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Military honors at graveside will be by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10535, the American Legion Post No. 18 and American Legion Post No. 196 with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery east of Winslow.

Allard's brother, Norman will be buried during the same services.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Ludvigson Mortuary in Fremont.

Allard L. Bartling was born May 15, 1916 on the family farm in rural Herman to H. P. and Ida L. Wolf Bartling. He farmed on the family farm until entering the army in 1941. He served with the military until 1945.

He then returned to farm just north of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington County for 26 years. He then lived in Winslow for 13 years before moving to Fremont in 1985.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10535 of Winslow/Hooper and American Legion Post No. 18 of Hooper.

He married Louise Hildebrandt January 1, 1946 in Augusta, Georgia. She preceded him in death on November 19, 1987.

He is survived by a sister, Evelyn Schwier of Omaha and a brother, Victor of Hastings.
