US Congresswoman. Born Florence Louise Price in Reading, Pennsylvania, she took special courses at Rutgers Law School, before moving to New Jersey. There she became the New Jersey State Legislation Chairman of the New Jersey Federation of Business and Professional Women. She served in the New Jersey State Assembly, (1950-56). In 1957, she was elected as a Republican to the Eighty-fifth Congress and to the next seven succeeding Congresses, serving until 1973. Not a candidate for reelection, she lived in retirement until her death at 73 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
