Archie Lowry, 72, died Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in Robeson County Memorial hospital after an illness of several years. He had been making his home with his sister, Mrs. Ida Scott Locklear of Lumberton, Rt. 4.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mt. Moriah church by Rev. T. M. Swett. Burial will be in the Oxendine cemetery.
Surviving besides his sister, are one daughter, Mrs. Essie Locklear of Norfolk, Va.; one son, Willie Lowry of Lumberton; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Braddie Oxendine of Fairmont; four brothers, Hector Lowry of Rennert; Frank, Tommy and Dock Lowry of Lumberton; also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
