Eileen McCarthy Bellinger Johnson, age 83 passed away Saturday evening at Heritage Health Care Center in Utica under the care of her daughter.
Eileen was born April 5, 1930 in Watertown, the daughter of Michael and Frances Dunkelburg McCarthy. She graduated from Brownville/ Glen Park High School in 1948. She married Robert Bellinger in 1948 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brownville. He died March 5, 1963 in an accident while working for N.Y. Telephone Company.
Eileen worked as an operator for N.Y. Telephone and later retired as a teller for Marine Midland Bank.
She lived in Brownville and later moved to Harrisville in 1994.
She is survived by two children: Robert Bellinger and his wife Karen of Harrisville, and Deborah Secor of Utica. She has five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, sisters Margaret Thomas of Rochester and Shirley Hanchette of Wisconsin, nieces, nephews and a cousin Leland Bellinger of Harris, Minnesota.
A graveside service will be held on Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Brownville Cemetery.
