Twila L. Adams, 79, of Polk, died at 3:20 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born Jan. 7, 1932, in Clarion County, Twila was the daughter of the late Richard and Goldie McCool Carson.
She was married March 23, 1950, to Lester Adams, and he survives. Twila was a homemaker. She and her husband, Lester had been married for 61 years.
In addition to her husband, Twila is survived by her sons, Dennis Adams and his wife Deborah, Ken Adams, Tom Adams, Rick Adams and his wife Lisa, Jon Adams and his wife Bobbie, Joe Adams, and Bob Adams and his wife Penny, all of Polk; and her daughter, Lori Adams and her husband, Randall, also of Polk. She is additionally survived by her 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a family friend, Raymond Evanitz of Sandy Lake.
In addition to her parents, Twila was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Carson; and her sister, Ethel Mae Carson.
Family and friends of Twila will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Daryl Adams and the Rev. Ed Gresick officiating. Interment will follow at Old Sandy Cemetery.
