Michael Harry Hargett, of Stevensville, MD, died suddenly August 19, 2011.

Born on February 16, 1957 in Fredrick, MD, he was adopted as an infant by the late Arthur Sylvester Hargett and Rhea Charlotte Hargett.

Michael grew up in Glen Burnie, Union Bridge and Reisterstown where he attended high school at Franklin High.

He worked in the commercial construction industry and had been employed with McKenzie Construction for 17 years and other various commercial construction companies.

Michael loved riding his Harley Davidson and enjoys going to motorcycle rallies and spending time with friends. He was a member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles.

He is survived by his sisters, DeeDee McCracken and husband, Kevin of Stevensville, MD, and Judy Weitzell and husband, Bill of Severna Park, MD; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by both parents, all his uncles and aunts including his most beloved uncle and aunt Hubert and Evelyn Lewis of Middletown, MD.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. August 27, 2011, at Christ Episcopal Church, Stevensville, with interment following at Broad Creek Cemetery, Stevensville, MD.
