HARMONY -- The funeral for Morris Alfson will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony with military rites by the American Legion and VFW. The body will be cremated after the service.

Mr. Alfson, 73, of Harmony, a longtime Pederson Brothers employee, died Monday (Sept. 6, 1999) at his home.

He was born July 13, 1926, in Fillmore County and served in the Army during World War II. On April 4, 1945, he married Lois Yeoman in Harmony and they lived in Harmony most of their married lives. Mr. Alfson worked for Pederson Brothers from 1952 until the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Morris Jr. of Harmony and Dennis of Ocean Shores, Wash.; a daughter, Lynell (Mrs. Steve) Shanks of Harmony; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruthie Ihns of Harmony and Joyce (Mrs. Neil) Gremseth of Preston. Two brothers and an infant daughter preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
