Mr. Lawrence was born in Hobart, New York. He traveled the world through his 30 years with the US Air Force. He also retired from the Department of Interior before settling in Orange County in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Ann Lawrence and son, Scott Michael Lawrence.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Ann Lloyd and husband, Brian David; his brother, Robert Lawrence and wife, Dena; his sisters, Alice Omichi and husband, Hisashi and Janet Nicholls; and his two grandchildren, Cameron Scott Lloyd and Rebecca Jeane Lloyd.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, August 27 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2217 Princess Ann St. Suite 106-1F Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
