Asa L. Bozarth was born July 23, 1840 in Ohio, son of Lot Bozarth and Nancy (maiden name unknown).

The 1850 Federal Census for Stokes, Ohio (Madison County) shows Asa Bozarth, age 10, born in Ohio; living with his father, Lot Bozarth, a farmer, age 63, born in Virginia; and his mother, Nancy, age 54, born in North Carolina. Also living in the household were Asa's siblings: Emanuel Bozarth, a farmer, age 19, born in Iowa; Letta Bozarth, age 17, born in Ohio; and Alfred Bozarth, a farmer, age 16, born in Ohio.

The Illinois Marriages show that Asa Bozarth married Belle C. Moosberry Floyd on December 22, 1875 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Belle Moosbery was born in November 1849 in Illinois.

Belle had been married previously. The Illinois Marriages show that Belle C. Moosbery and Charles S. Floyd married on December 3, 1867 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Charles Stewart Floyd was born December 12, 1844 in Hopedale, Illinois (Tazewell County) and he died March 11, 1920 in Linn Creek, Missouri (Camden County). Belle and Charles had a daughter, Nellie Floyd (1871-1911), and they subsequently divorced.

The 1880 Federal Census for Precinct 6, Texas (Grayson County) shows Asa L. Bozarth, a farmer, age 39, born in Ohio; and his wife, Bell, age 35, born in Illinois. Living with them was Belle's daughter by a former marriage, Nellie H. Floyd, age 12, born in Illinois.

The 1900 Federal Census for Township 8, Indian Territory (Choctaw Nation) shows Asa L. Bozarth, a farm hand, age 59, born July 1840 in Ohio; and his wife, Bell, age 52, born November 1847 in Illinois.

Asa died October 22, 1901 in Oklahoma and was buried in the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). Belle died July 15, 1915 in Oklahoma and was buried in the Grandfield Memorial Cemetery in Grandfield, Oklahoma (Tillman County).
